The Office of Faculty Affairs & Professional Development in the Division of Academic Affairs is the centralized resource center for all faculty-related programs and support services at San Francisco State University. We provide administrative support to all faculty members at every stage in their career at SF State, from the hiring process to retirement. We strive to cultivate faculty resiliency and promote an inclusive and welcoming faculty culture.
SF State's Center for Equity and Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CEETL) is within the Office of Faculty Affairs. CEETL offers faculty development programming that addresses foundational and specialized teaching and learning theory and practices, with a focus on anti-racism, social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching and learning.
Promoting faculty success through retention, tenure and promotion (RTP) processes, post-tenure review, administration of funding opportunities and awards programs, as well as the provision of professional development opportunities.
