Note, advancement in rank is based on merit as demonstrated by teaching performance, professional achievement and growth and contributions to the campus and the community as provided in Academic Senate RTP Policy F19-241 and department criteria. Reviews and recommendations for the purpose of decisions related to promotion are based solely on material contained in the electronic working personnel action file (eWPAF). The eWPAF contains the faculty member’s materials and index, student evaluations of teaching effectiveness and all other information provided by the faculty, students, academic administrators and others who must be identified by name.
Under the CSU Collective Bargaining Agreement and Academic Senate policies below, the university establishes an annual review deadline calendar, which outlines the three review cycles and the timeline for each review cycle (Collective Bargaining Agreement, Article 13).
